Tide And Moon

In class this term we are learning about the moon and tide and how the moon affects the tides.

We have been put into groups and some groups are drawing the moon each night and some are recording the tides each night. I am recording the tides because I think it is interesting how the moon pulls the tides in and out.

The Suitcase Kid

I am reading The Suitcase Kid, by Jacqueline Wilson.

So far I am on chapter 4 it is called C is for Cottage. It is a great book and I cant put it down.

This is my letter to the author.

Dear Jacqueline Wilson I am reading The Suitcase Kid, it is really good but sad because Andy's parents are separated. I have read lots of your books and my favorite is Candyfloss. Keep writing. From Selina.

I recommend this book for people who want a good story to read.

Family Maths Challenge

For this weeks family maths challenge, my class had to follow directions to help Disney get the letters in the right pigeonholes.

This is the question. Walt Disney needs some help labeling his cast and crews pigeonholes. His secretary has given him directions.

I figured it out by following the directions it gave me. For Example: Goofy-2nd column 4th row.

I think it made it easy by saying the column and the row they were each in.

A DOG'S LIFE

I AM READING A DOG'S LIFE. SO FAR IT IS SO GOOD BECAUSE IT IS A TRUE STORY ABOUT A STRAY DOG. IT IS REALLY SAD BECAUSE A DOG CALLED SQUIRRELS BROTHER GOT SEPARATED AND HER MOTHER LEFT THEM. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A DOG LIKE SQUIRREL OR HER BROTHER BONE. MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS ARE SQUIRREL AND BONE BECAUSE THEY ARE SWEET AND KIND LOVING DOGS.

FAMILY MATHS CHALLENGE

THIS IS THE QUESTION TO THIS WEEKS FAMILY MATHS CHALLENGE.

THIS STAIRWAY IS MADE OF CUBES. HOW MANY CUBES WOULD BE NEEDED TO MAKE THE STEPS 9 STEPS HIGH?

I FIGURED IT OUT BY DRAWING THE PICTURE OF THE STEPS THEN ADDED ONE STEP MORE TILL I GOT TO NINE STEPS THEN I ADDED UP 6 +29=45 AND THAT IS HOW I GOT THE ANSWER.
